Description
A late Bronze Age Votive socketed bronze spearhead recovered from the Thames River. Measures 15.87 x 5.08 cm. It shows a blackened patina from the river silt and small areas of green bronze disease. This was never made for combat use as it is slightly smaller and the socket is shallow, only meant to hold the shaft for the ceremony. 1200-700 B.C.
