    Description

    A rarely encountered 17th or18th C Chinese, hand forged iron spear head. The spear socket is hand forged in a wrap, with a punched hole. The spear neck has a simple notched design, the blade a traditional leaf shape. The metal is dark and pitted with mostly shallow pits. This type of spear would have been arsenal forged for use by foot and light cavalry troops. Collected in China in 1992.
