    References "Les Insignes du Train" by the French Army Historical Service.  Unit created 1 May 1946 in Germany from the traffic control detachment of the 3rd Algerian Infantry Division, whose symbol was the 3 crescents shown on this badge.
    No current French dealer retail prices found for this badge.  Not hallmarked, locally made, painted, listed in the reference as variant "A1".  (The basic Drago-made badge was homologued in 1948). Attachment pin intact.   Genuine, not a restrike.
