    Description

    Here is a rather interesting older celluloid doll baby.  This doll is marked "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN" on the back (I TRIED to show this in the 3rd photo, but the lettering does not photograph well).  The arms and legs are held onto the body with factory installed strings, which due to age are quite loose or stretched.  According to other similar items I have found online, this is a "Kewpie" doll, and they are rather rare and sought after.  The parts are all here, and the original face paint is in really good shape.  I did note (and photograph) a couple of minor "push ins" on the top rear of the head.  A very lightweight and fragile looking item, and I am sure few survived to this point!  I am sure some collector out there can carefully push those out and restring or tighten the strings, and then they will have a real rarity!  Measures about 8 inches in height, and ready to add to your collection.  Photos from several angles, with a penny in the shots for size rerference, so you can judge it for yourself.  Priced to sell, with only actual First Class Package shipping charged to the winner!
