The leather coverec scabbard shows surface wear but is in sound condition

    Description

    A large knife from Northwest India called a Salwar Yataghan or Kyber Knife by the Colonials.
    The hilt has black, Buffalo horn bolsters attached to a steel tang, The large blade is T backed and has short fullers with a short saw tooth pattern near the tiop. The pattern is heavily worn.
    The blade has been cleaned and sharpened many times. There is no evidence of rust or pitting. There is a small nick in the tip, as shown.
    The leather covered scabbard has surface wear but is in good, serviceable condition
