Description
VINTAGE BALLESTER CROSSBOW ARROW HEAD.
This interesting piece of early combat history is over 5" long and about 5/8" in diameter at the shaft. It is believed to have been
used in the 1573 siege of Edinburgh Castle
in Scotland. A short piece of the shaft is held in place by a side strap
and fastened by a small hand-forged square nail. The point is slightly curved, maybe the result of glancing off a stone wall or shield.
